Borouge has awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for building an additional polypropylene (PP5) unit at its existing Borouge 3 complex in Ruwais to Tecnimont SPA.

The project is expected to complete by quarter 3 of 2021 and would add 480,000 tons/year of PP to Borouge’s current capacity, bringing the total PP output to 2.21 million tons per annum.
