It is reported that Lotte Chemical Titan has achieved on-spec cargoes at its newly started up PP plant in Malaysia after a brief delay. The 200,000 tons/year unit (PP3) started commercial production during mid of July 2018.
Chinese players reported receiving offers for prime cargoes from the producer this week at the price level $1250/ton CFR China, LC AS term. “The available quantity is less than 500 tons for both homo-PP yarn and injection grade, however, prices are relatively competitive,” a buyer received the offers commented.
According to the initial plan, the new unit would produce homo-PP at the initial stage before moving to the PP copolymers grades.
