It is reported that Thailand’s SCG Chemicals Co Ltd is planning a brief maintenance shutdown at its no.3 PP line in Map Ta Phut at the end of November. The 420,000 tons/year unit is expected to remain offline for 10 days, from 26 November to 5 December, sources close to the producer said.

The other two PP units are not affected by the shutdown.

“We need to start lowering operating rate in preparation for the shutdown and therefore, availability from our side might be affected,” the source added.
