Planned maintenance at Indonesia's Asahimas VCM line

According to market sources, Asahimas Chemical is planning to shut its No. 1 vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) line within this week for a scheduled turnaround.

Based in Cilegon, Banten province of Indonesia, the No. 1 VCM unit has a production capacity of 150,000 tons/year VCM. As reported earlier, the overhaul at No. 1 unit is postponed from mid- February due to delay in the delivery of parts. It is expected to remain off-stream until mid of August 2017.
