Chandra Asri completed 50% construction work at new PE unit

After the groundbreaking took place earlier this year, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk has now completed more than 50 per cent of construction work at its new PE units, market sources said.

The new PE plant is built adjacent to the existing complex, which upon completion would add another 400,000 tons/year of output to the company’s current capacity of 336,000 tons/year. It aims to produce various commodity grade products including HDPE, LLDPE and metallocene PE.

The plant is scheduled to come online by end of 2019 and would start the commercial run by early 2020.
