UPDATE: Thailand SCG to shut one PP line for maintenance in December

Thailand’s SCG Chemicals Co Ltd is planning to take its number 3 PP line off-stream on 7 December 2018 for a brief maintenance, sources close to the company said. The 420,000 tons/year unit is expected to remain offline for 10 days.

SCG operates three PP lines in the Map Ta Phut complex that have a combined capacity of 720,000 tons/year. Number 3 PP unit is the largest line.  

The other two PP units are not affected by the shutdown.

The schedule is slightly delayed from the initial plan of conducting the maintenance work during late November.
