Another Saudi maker announces March PP, PE offers to Southeast Asia

It is reported that another major Saudi Arabia producer has announced new PP and PE offers to the Southeast Asia market at the stable to slightly firmer levels. This is in line with the support from stronger upstream costs but soft demand regionally after the long Lunar New Year holiday.

The producer’s price list and month-on-month changes are shown in the following table:

The producer lifted HDPE film to Vietnam as a result of a pick up in purchasing activities in this market toward the end of the week. “We hope to see better acceptance among buyers. Supply is not too ample because many integrated producers prefer to participate in the ethylene market instead of making PE,” a source close to the maker commented.

Buyers have not shown any immediate response toward the new price list, however, the price decision is much expected.
