UPDATE: Indonesia’s Lotte Chemical Titan to shut LLDPE plant

It is reported that PT Lotte Chemical Titan Nusantara is mulling over shutting down its LLDPE plant in Indonesia at the end of September 2019 for about one month due to negative profit margins. 

A source close to the producer informed that the company is monitoring the upstream ethylene costs and might consider extending the shutdown in October would ethylene remains unfavorable to its margins.

The LLDPE unit has an annual capacity of 200,000 tons hand has been running at a lower rate since the end of August 2019.
