UPDATE: China’s Maoming Petrochemical to postpone maintenance at all units

According to market sources, Maoming Petrochemical has decided to postpone the maintenance shutdown at its PP and PE plants until further notice on the back of good demand from the local market.
The producer initially planned a major overhaul at most of the units in December. The following table shows the initial shutdown schedule.

Sources said that the maker might likely to shut down in March 2021, however, there are no confirmations from the producer at the time of this report.
As these units continue to operate at full rates, local supply might not be as short as expected, especially for the LDPE sector.
