According to market sources, Indian Oil Corporation Limited has taken two PP units in Paradip, India off-stream on 15 December 2020 due to technical issues at the upstream fluid catalytic cracking unit.

At the moment, there are still no confirmations on the restart date at the two PP units that have a combined output of 700,000 tons/year.

The shutdown is expected to curtail local supply further and continue to lift spot prices in this market in the near term.
