Chinese bidders continue to show healthy buying interest toward the PP parcels even at slightly higher price levels compared to the previous session.
Buyers continue to proceed with caution, partly due to lacking confidence in the near-term outlook, which is reinforced by the traditional weak demand season in May and June.

Chinese bidders appeared more interested in the coal-based PP cargoes on the first trading day of the week while the number of transactions achieved for LLDPE was rather disappointing.
New offers from a key Saudi Arabia producer are not an exception. List price for HDPE film fell three digits from the previous month, widening the price gap with LLDPE film in Southeast Asia.
In spite of the three digits price cuts, Indonesian customers remain reluctant toward the homo-PP parcels, citing the presence of other non-dutiable cargoes at more competitive levels.
While the reductions in the spot homo-PP cargoes are deemed timid to attract buying interest, players are stunned by the drastic downward adjustments on HDPE.
While traders reported having achieved some deals at the lower end of the overall price range during the early trading hours, the market generally remains cautious about the demand prospect.
