As reported earlier, demand for HDPE film in Indonesia has been improving as retail businesses gradually recover from the COVID-19 lockdown.
In spite of the sharp increases, Indian customers find the new offers competitive compared to other cargoes, which have been hovering around the $2000/ton threshold for weeks.
Compared to Chinese customers, Indonesian buyers are more reluctant to accept the new offers on the back of mediocre end-product businesses and the availability of more competitive cargoes from other suppliers.
