China’s Jiutai to achieve prime grade materials from new PP, PE plants soon

According to market sources, Inner Mongolia Jiutai Energy Co Ltd has started up their new MTO plant today.

Based in Inner Mongolia, China, the company has a 600,000 tons/year new MTO plant. In addition, the new coal-based 280,000 tons/year HDPE/LLDPE swing plant and 320,000 tons/year PP plant are scheduled for commercial production initially by end of first quarter this year, however has been delayed further. A source closed to the company informed that trial production has been implemented throughout the Labor Day holiday, meanwhile both PP and PE plants are expected to have commercial production as well as prime grade materials by second half of May 2019.
